Changing the Start Day of Week

Set the schedule start day of week to align with your requirements

Written by Kevin

By default, the schedule displays the week starting from Monday through Sunday.

Note: If an employee works a shift that spans midnight (for example, 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM), all hours for that shift are attributed to the day the time card begins, not the day it ends. This ensures the entire shift is treated as a single time card for calculating daily hours and overtime.

You can customize the start day to match your business needs. To do this:

  • Navigate to Settings > Organization > Company > Preferences

  • Click the dropdown menu to select your preferred starting day

You will be prompted for the date the change came into effect.

The Start Day of the Week not only affects the Scheduler view but also defines the company’s week for compliance purposes. For example, weekly overtime calculations will begin based on the company’s designated Start Day of the Week.

Changing the start day of week may trigger a re-calculation of compliance rules for this reason.

Once saved, your Schedule View will reflect the new start day.
