Once connection to Genius POS Restaurant has been established by:
1. adding the API and
you can choose to control staff access to Genius Restaurant POS through SocialSchedules time clock.
When clock in occurs on SocialSchedules time clock, Genius POS Restaurant receives the worker and position associated with the clock in and uses that information to log the worker into the POS with the appropriate level of access.
Mapping Genius Restaurant Workers and Positions to SocialSchedules
Premium Plan subscription or higher
iPad or Android tablet for SocialSchedules Time Clock
Enable the 'Labor Scheduling' setting on Restaurant POS
Match/Map Workers
Log in SocialSchedules.com with Admin credentials > Menu (Location) > Integrations > POS > Genius Restaurant POS
Auto Match Workers
SocialSchedules will auto match workers where name and email/phone are successfully matched.
Click 'show detail' to view name, email, phone number of the worker as it is stored in SocialSchedules and Genius POS Restaurant respectively.
Manually match workers
Ignore Match
Choose to exclude workers from the matching process by clicking 'ignore match'.
When a worker has not been matched their clock ins are not sent to Genius POS Restaurant.
Match/Map Positions
SocialSchedules.com > Menu (Location) > Integrations > POS > Genius Restaurant POS
Match Positions
Match the Genius POS Restaurant position with the SocialSchedules position.
Verify Worker and Position Mapping
Once the positions are matched in SocialSchedules, ensure that all worker accounts that are setup in Genius Restaurant POS have the positions assigned under their profiles.
Login to your Genius Restaurant POS account>main left menu>Location Setup> Staff> Select a worker
Check Job Type > ensure all positions for this worker in SocialSchedules are assigned as Job types.
Note: when matching positions it is a 1:1 sync match. For example: if you map Expo Trainer to Expo it will unset any existing link.
