Notification Preferences

Set mobile and email notifications for workers and managers

Regardless of your permission level, it is easiest to update your notifications on mobile. If you want to configure them from a desktop, or can't use the mobile app, please refer to the desktop instructions.

Notification Preferences on Mobile

  1. Log in to Mobile App > More (bottom right)

  2. Scroll down to Notification Settings >

    1. Worker Account

      1. Schedule Updates

        1. Toggle On/Off

      2. Messages

        1. Toggle On/Off

      3. Shift reminders

        1. Toggle On and select notification time > Save or

        2. Toggle Off

      4. News & Updates

    2. Manager Account

      1. Notification Feed

        1. Toggle departments on/off

      2. Time off Requests

        1. Push (mobile): Toggle on/off

        2. Email: Toggle on/off

      3. Shift Requests

        1. Push (mobile): Toggle on/off

        2. Email: Toggle on/off

      4. Availability Updates

        1. Push (mobile): Toggle on/off

        2. Email: Toggle on/off

Worker Notification Preferences On Desktop

Notification Preferences allow you to set the notifications you would like to receive about your personal worker account. Notifications are sent via 'push' notification directly to your smart phone.

  1. from Socialschedules.com > Account > Notifications

    1. if you are also a manager/admin you will need to switch to your personal account

  2. Choose when and where to be notified:

    1. A schedule is published

    2. You receive an in-app message

    3. Your next shift is due to start (shift reminder)

    4. SocialSchedules publishes product news and updates

You will also receive push notifications for items that need your attention.

These include:

  • Time off request has been approved or declined

  • Availability request has been actioned or needs approval

  • You have been invited to a shift opportunity

  • A shift swap or drop request has been actioned

  • A shift you are working has been changed or deleted

Manager Notification Preferences​ On Desktop

Set the notifications you would like to receive as a manager. You can choose to receive notifications as either an email or via 'push' notification sent directly to your smart phone.

  1. from Socialschedules.com > Account > Notifications

    1. if you are also a worker, confirm you are viewing your manager profile

  2. Schedules You Want To Be Notified About

    1. If you manage a schedule that you don't want to receive notifications about simply remove it from the list

  3. Notify Me

    1. Choose mobile and/or email notifications for

      1. worker time off,

      2. swap and drop requests.
