Public holidays can be specified within SocialSchedules.
These are grouped by location, as different locations within a Company may have different public holidays. For example, a location in Texas may celebrate Texas Independence Day, whereas a location in Maine may celebrate Patriots' Day.
Navigation
Navigate to Settings > Labor rules > Public holidays
Add public holidays
Select Add a group to add new public holidays for a location.
Enter a name for the group
Next, specify the geographical location you're creating the public holiday calendar for. This could be a state, city, or any region that makes sense to you. Then select the SocialSchedules locations these public holidays apply to.
A list of holidays for the selected geography will be displayed. Select those applicable.
Click save
Can't see a specific public holiday?
Click Add Another at the bottom of the screen. On the screen that appears, enter the name for the holiday and select the date, then click Add to Public Holidays. Note that this is only available when editing a public holiday group and not creating one.
Applying penalty rates to public holidays
Holiday rates can be applied to shifts worked on days specified as a public holiday.
Navigate to Settings > Labor rules> Penalty hours > Holiday rates and select the rate to be paid on public holidays.
